My love for travel isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s something I feel deep in my spirit and soul. When I step onto faraway lands, there’s a feeling that’s almost indescribable, as if each stone street, breathtaking landscape, or sunlit shoreline awakens something within me.
One of the most defining moments of my travel story came years ago in Palo del Colle, Italy - a town within the city of Bari and region of Puglia, along the southeastern coast. While working to obtain our Italian citizenship, my cousin and I set out to find our great-grandfather’s childhood home - with nothing but a single faded photo. On those cobblestone roads, we met Maria—a local who lit up with joy at our search. She walked with us for hours, speaking to neighbors and sharing our story, until finally, we found it! In that moment, when we stood in the very spot our grandfather once did, retracing his steps and taking the same photo as cousins generations later, I understood the true power of travel: connection, legacy, and soul.
That’s the essence of TraceyTravels. For me, travel isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about living stories, embracing authentic culture, and allowing each destination to become part of you.
